Program Overview
Our services are dedicated to supporting adolescents and young adults, as well as their families, who are impacted by mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring diagnoses. We recognize the profound effects that emotional, behavioral, and substance-related challenges can have on daily life, development, relationships, and long-term wellbeing.
We provide integrated, evidence-based, and compassionate care—tailored to meet each individual where they are, and to support a trajectory of recovery, resilience, and functional stability.
Target Populations & Areas of Focus
1. Adolescents – Mental Health Conditions
Adolescence is a pivotal stage of physical, emotional and social development—and many mental health conditions emerge or intensify during this time. Our adolescent mental-health services include support for:
Anxiety disorders: persistent worry, panic, or avoidance that interferes with school, family, or social functioning.
Depression: ongoing sadness, hopelessness, fatigue, disinterest in prior activities, changes in sleep or appetite.
Mood disorders: rapid or pronounced shifts in mood, irritability, emotional instability.
Behavioral issues: aggression, defiance, self-harm behaviors, or extreme impulsivity.
Trauma/Post-Traumatic Stress: adolescents who have experienced significant trauma and are coping with enduring symptoms (e.g., nightmares, hypervigilance, avoidance, emotional numbing).
By intervening early and offering structured support, we aim to help teens build healthier emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and re-engage meaningfully in daily life.
2. Adolescents – Substance Use Disorders
Substance use in adolescence—whether experimentation or escalation—can derail development, impact brain health, academic performance, and family/social relationships. We specifically address:
Alcohol Use Disorder
Nicotine Use Disorder (including vaping)
Cannabis Use Disorder
Prescription Drug Misuse
Our adolescent substance-use program emphasizes early identification, education, coping skill development, and family system involvement to reduce harm and support recovery.
3. Adolescents – Co-occurring Conditions
Many young people face both a mental health disorder and a substance use challenge simultaneously. We adopt an integrated treatment model—addressing both issues in tandem rather than sequentially—for greater efficacy. Examples include:
Anxiety coupled with substance misuse (e.g., self-medicating)
Depression + alcohol or cannabis use
Mood disorders paired with prescription drug misuse
Trauma/PTSD along with substance use to numb emotional pain
This integrative approach enhances outcomes by acknowledging the interplay between emotional/behavioral health and substance use.
Why Our Approach Matters
Evidence-based interventions: We draw from modalities shown to work in treating mental health and substance use disorders (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.).
Integrated care for co-occurrence: Recognizing that many clients have overlapping conditions, we avoid siloed treatment paths and instead treat the whole person.
Family & systems perspective: Especially for adolescents, we bring in family dynamics, system supports, and relational factors so the treatment context reflects reality.
Early intervention focus: Especially in adolescence, fully-addressing issues early can significantly improve long-term outcomes.
Tailored age-appropriate services: Our programming reflects the developmental stages and unique challenges of teens and young adults.
Insurance & access orientation: We strive to work with most major insurance carriers, helping reduce barriers to access.
