An opportunity for students to reinforce soft skills, "Get a Plan, Get a Job, Keep a Job," provided by Abilities Pre-Employment Transition Services.

TO BE ELIGIBLE:

• Student or June graduate must be between the ages of 14- 21, reside and attend school in Warren, southern Sussex, western Morris or northern Hunterdon counties.
• Student must commit to working a minimum of 10 hours per week for a 150 hour paid internship experience.
• Student must commit to orientation and virtual soft skill training, attending a minimum of 3 one hour sessions per week for 3 weeks before the internship and 3 weeks after the internship experience. Students will get paid for the classes, ($100 per week).
• Student must have transportation to and from work.
• Student must be willing/able to work independently at the job site with employer supervision provided.

HOW TO SIGN UP:

Student and a parent/guardian will be required to meet with an Employment Pathways staff, be eligible for NJ DVRS services and complete a NJ DVRS referral form. Student will also be required to obtain working papers if necessary.
