The overarching goal of the Kinship Navigator Program is to partner with Kinship Caregivers raising non-biological children in providing a stable and permanent home environment through services and supports that will enrich the lives of children residing in households headed by grandparents, other relatives, or friends.
Kinship Navigator Program offers:
- Kinship Wrap Around Services - Annual stipend offered, if eligible for the program
- Kinship Legal Guardianship
- Kinship Legal Guardianship Subsidy
- Information and Referral (including but not limited to);
- Family Support Groups
- Work First New Jersey/TANF/ SNAP
- Medicaid Coverage and Services
- Educational Issues
- Housing/Utility Assistance
- Financial assistance offered to non- bio parents caring for children under the age of 18
- Kinship Legal Guardianship application and subsidy assistance
- Information and referral to outside resources

Kinship Navigator Program (Children's Home Society of New Jersey)
CHSofNJ delivers the New Jersey Kinship Navigator (Wraparound and Kinship Legal Guardian) Services in seven counties (Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Hunterdon, Somerset, Ocean and Union.). We enrich these services with Kinship Cares Enhanced Program services and at neighborhood Family Success Centers.
CarePlus NJ
Provider of comprehensive, recovery-focused mental health and substance abuse services in Northern New Jersey with a range of services. Outpatient programs, both Medicaid and non-Medicaid, serve youth under age 21.
NJ Kinship Legal Guardianship Resource Clearing House
KinKonnect is a State-Funded service devoted to families that have been formed through kinship and run under the auspices of Children’s Aid and Family Services Inc. (www.cafsnj.org). Our goal is to direct people to appropriate services in New Jersey.
