Hunterdon County Office on Disabilities Services

The Hunterdon County Office on Disability Services strives to help Hunterdon County residents with disabilities reach their maximum level of independence. This is achieved by working cooperatively with individuals with disabilities, their caregivers, human service providers, and others.

The Hunterdon County Office on Disability Services is a part of the Division of Senior, Disabilities, and Veterans Services. We are the County's office for providing information and referrals to any community members with disabilities.

Our office provides a wide range of services and referrals, public and private, to help people with disabilities remain in the community as independently as possible. Our services include:

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in several areas including employment, transportation, public accommodations, communications, and access to state and local government programs and services. Our office provides assistance to County residents regarding provisions under this act.

Aging & Disabilities Resource Connection (ADRC) Advisory Committee
The Aging and Disabilities Resource Connection is a system of local agencies that provide information and assistance to professionals looking for human services or programs. The ADRC Advisory Committee meets quarterly and is open to the public. Individuals with disabilities, seniors, and their caregivers are especially encouraged to participate and give feedback regarding the human services they need.
