Family Promise of Warren County

The Warren County Interfaith Hospitality Network (WCIHN) is a community initiative addressing the needs of homeless families and children.

Through the Warren County Interfaith Hospitality network, we extend compassion, care, and hope to homeless families through a network of Host and Support Congregations, social and business organizations, and individual volunteers. We provide emergency shelter, meals, and other support for helping families regain their independence. We also offer these families essential services and programs for locating and securing housing, employment, and job training as well as hel;ing them rebuild their savings, repair their credit, and restore their unity.

What does Family Promise do to help? We start with providing the essentials: food, clothing and shelter. We accept up to four families (14 people) and unlike some other IHNs, we do not limit the amount of time in the Network. Transportation is provided each day to and from the congregation to the Family Resource Center in Oxford, NJ. It is here that adults receive professional case management to help them overcome obstacles. Parents are helped to find jobs, child-care assistance, counseling and whatever services are needed.
