Family Promise of Hunterdon County

Our mission is to end homelessness, by mobilizing the community to guide homeless families and individuals to self-sufficiency and permanent housing, with compassionate care, services and professional support.

As the only homeless shelter for children and their families in Hunterdon County, we respond to the emergent need in our community. Family Promise of Hunterdon and the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Hunterdon County program is a non-profit 501(c)3 agency, established in 1990. We work together to end the homelessness in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

    • music therapy and

  • Homeless Prevention:This program is designed to help residents maintain their existing housing when they are at risk of eviction due to an unexpected emergency expense.
  • Neighbors in Need Fund: Neighbors in Need is an invaluable case management tool that allows us to assist Family Promise of Hunterdon clients who are in the shelter or recently exited from the shelter with expenses.
  • Shelter Services: Our shelter is made up of an inter-denominational network of 14 host and 31 support congregations and over 1,000 community volunteers who provide: shelter, meals, security, companionship and respect for homeless families and individuals.
