Family Crisis Intervention Unit (FCIU) - Warren County

The Family Crisis Intervention Unit of Warren County provides a 24 hour/7 days a week service for youth (5-17 years of age)and their families. The program provides immediate response and short-term crisis stabilization to families who are experiencing serious difficulties in managing behavior of the youth due to runaway behavior, truancy or family conflict.  The FCIU also works with juveniles and their families where there is human trafficking and sexually exploited minors involved. The referrals to the FDIU may come from schools, police, youth, families , state of community agencies or the court system. The program provides families with counseling, guidance, case management and/or referral assistance. The goal of the unit is to divert family crisis from the Court system and keep families together whenever possible. 

The FCIU provides the following services:

  • Crisis Intervention and Stabilization
  • Assessment
  • Short-term individual and family therapy (up to four months)
  • Case management 
  • Referrals for Long-Term Treatment
  • Temporary Out-of-Home Placement at the Youth Shelter
  • Access to Family Court
