D&M Counseling is comprised of two LCSW clinicians who co-facilitate therapeutic groups with a social skill focus. Our objective is to provide children and adolescents with a safe and fun learning environment to develop appropriate and more effective social skills.

Individuals are given the tools needed to better understand themselves and their environment. As the clients' confidence and skills improve children are able to meet the social demands placed upon them. Co-facilitating allows the group process to continue while necessary redirection is provided individually and discreetly. Social workers also offer appropriate role modeling during the group session.

Activities and discussions create an environment for children to learn and practice more effective communication skills. Clients are expected to work on their own individual needs while offering support to the other members, as issues and behaviors emerge. Parents are provided feedback, as well as, the opportunity to receive support.

LCWs, David Moscowitz and Michele D'Amico have experience working with children in a variety of settings.They have worked with one another for 10+ years developing a unique style of engaging children, which has evolved to incorporate a fun and interactive experience to help children achieve their fullest potential.
