Community Visiting Nurse Association

Immunizations are one of the most important necessities a parent can provide to protect their children’s health. Today, we can protect children from many diseases.  Failure to vaccinate may mean exposing children to the risk for serious diseases.  “Promoting Community Health is an important part of Community VNA’s mission and vision.

At our Child Health Clinics, Community VNA provides well baby check-ups and immunizations for newborns, toddlers and pre-school children, as well as immunizations for children aged 18 and under who are attending school. There is no charge for this service.  The nurse, registered dietitian and physician assess the growth and development of children who attend.  In addition, parents receive information and education on child health.  The clinics are conducted in conjunction with local health departments for families without health insurance.
