Camp Carr Day Camp - Hunterdon County YMCA

We believe camp is a place where children have the opportunity to try new activities, take on new challenges, increase their self esteem and grow in a safe, nurturing, fun environment. We accomplish this through a dynamic and creative program organized by our warm and caring professional staff.

SPECIALITY CAMPS:

TRAVEL CAMP
Ages 8 to 14 years old • June 20-Aug. 12 one-week sessions
Travel camp is for the adventurous camper.  Each day the group will hop onboard a bus that departs Camp Carr and travel to an exciting destination.  Most trips are within an hour radius of the camp (some may be a bit further).  Trip destinations can include, but are not limited to, roller and ice-skating, historical destinations, indoor and outdoor amusement parks, pizza and movie day, swim destinations, and much more.

MAD SCIENCE CAMPS
Ages 6-10 years old • July 18-Aug. 19 one week sessions
Mad Science summer camps give kids the opportunity to learn about science through our interactive and hands-on science activities. Our summer science programs let children become junior scientists for the summer and embark on a series of science adventures!

BRICKS 4 KIDZ® CAMPS
Ages 6 to 13 years old • June 27-July 15 one week sessions
BRICKS 4 KIDZ® camps are a high-energy, fast-paced setting where kids discover, explore, invent and create. The camps provide a child the opportunity to take a simple model, add their own imagination, and test the limits of their creativity.

COMMUNITY IMPACT AND SERVICE PROGRAM
Ages 11-14 • Aug. 1-5
In this new partnership between the YMCA and America’s Grow a Row campers will be guided through an experience that will broaden their knowledge of community impact and service. Through hands on and interactive workshops campers will learn about food insecurity and access issues, community health factors, and the importance of eating fresh produce.

HORSEBACK RIDING CAMP
Ages 8-13 years old  • July 5 - July 29 one-week sessions
Campers will be transported from Camp Carr to Kierson Farms and return to Camp Carr. Campers’ mornings will be spent at the horse farm experiencing all the challenges of owning, caring for,  and riding horses.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVENTURE CAMP AT THE ROUND VALLEY YOUTH CENTER
Ages 6-10 years old •  August 8-12
Environmental Adventure Camp offers children the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and the wonders of nature while they enjoy fun, hands-on activities. Each camp day will be action-packed with a variety of activities that teach children about our environment.
