Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

YMCA Camp Bernie's Goals:

• Provide a safe and healthy camping experience through careful supervision.
• Offer a variety of activities where kids succeed. Build confidence, develop skills, make new friends and have fun.
• Teach values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility that foster cooperation, trust, integrity, and accountability for actions.
• Experience diversity in a positive and accepting environment.
• Experience adventure in the outdoors and instill an appreciation for nature.

Summer Camps:

• Overnight camp: YMCA Camp Bernie’s Overnight Camp is a traditional, co-ed program for kids entering grades 2-11. Campers are grouped into Units by gender and age, with each Unit divided into cabins composed of 8-10 campers and 2-3 counselors. 
• Day Camp: Adventure Day Camp at YMCA Camp Bernie is a thrilling, active day camp program for boys and girls entering grades K-11. Our weekly sessions allow campers to enjoy and explore everything our beautiful 275 acre facility has to offer.
• Day Group: YMCA Camp Bernie serves outside day groups by contract through the summer. Our variety of program offerings are customizable to fit the needs and goals of your group.

School Programs:

• Before & After Care: The Advantage Before & After School Program will assure your child is safe and secure. Our staff delivers a quality program that will support your child’s growth and education. We provide a variety of enrichment experiences that your child will enjoy.
• Club Trips: At YMCA Camp Bernie we provide a facility that is flexible enough to handle your group’s needs, including a football-sized field, a large multi-use pavilion, a swimming pool, pond, adventure courses, and a variety of indoor locations and lodges for program areas as well as sleeping accommodations.
• Outdoor Education: At YMCA Camp Bernie, we offer both day and overnight programs to enhance your school’s curriculum and give your students a hands-on educational experience that they will treasure for a lifetime.
• Vacation Camps: Vacation Camp is a chance for students to enjoy a day of summer camp while school is closed. Rather than sitting home, students can make new friends and experience adventures on the climbing tower, at our low ropes obstacle course, in the nature lodge and much more!
