Program Objectives

Assist youth in recognizing their potential and ability to contribute to the community
What
Provides college / trade school tours, lessons in life skills, employment readiness training, academic tutoring, volunteering, and an 8-week paid internship.
Who
Somerset County youth, ages 14–21, who are in need of workplace readiness skills and mentoring.
Why
Studies show that youth who have marketable skills are better able to find employment and are less likely to be involved in criminal activity.
How
Youth receive up to 12 weeks of goal identification and life skills education; 2 weeks of job readiness training; and 8 weeks in a paid internship.
