Summit Camp & Travel is a therapeutically designed sleepaway summer Camp and Travel program organized to meet the social and emotional needs of our special population and their families. Our programs serve children of average to above average intelligence who have a variety of developmental, social, emotional, and learning issues.

Services and Programs:

• Social Skills Development: A primary focus of Summit Camp & Travel is and has always been the social development of the youth who attend our programs. Social interactions and learned social skills present challenges to our participants for a wide variety of reasons.
• The Female Experience: At Summit Camp & Travel, we strive for our girls to excel, to feel safe and to be able to facilitate their own social success. In order to create this feeling of comfort girls are, from day one, appropriately grouped in cabins with peers who are similar to them.
• Super Teen Program: Boys and girls who are age 15-19 as of July 1 in the year in which they attend camp become participants in our pre-vocational work/camp program.  Super Teens work as waiters for one meal daily, acquiring positive attitudes toward work, learning the importance of task completion, and developing useful skills.
• Discovery Center: At least two periods per week are spent in one of our educationally oriented Discovery Programs. Our approach to cognitive development is hands-on, experiential, process oriented, and fun.
