Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, developmental, emotional, and medical challenges through a diverse program of equine-assisted activities, therapy, and educational initiatives.
Programs:
- Therapy Services: at Mane Stream is a wonderful motivator; our licensed therapists utilize both clinical therapy techniques and the horse to improve life skills.
- Adaptive Riding lessons use adaptive teaching techniques and/or equipment to help riders learn riding and horsemanship skills through instruction from a PATH-certified instructor.
- Operation: Take the Reins provides different equine-assisted program options for veterans and service members who have incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, coincident with their military service.
- Horses For Healing: Whether you are currently living with or are a survivor of cancer, we know you may crave ways to remove yourself temporarily from the demands of treatment schedules, medical professionals, and even the anxious concern of your friends and family members.
- Summer Camp: An inclusive summer day camp for children with special needs, their siblings, and their typically developing peers where activities are tailored to each camper's individual needs while an excellent introduction to horses and riding in a safe and secure environment.
- Educational Initiatives: Several partnerships currently exist between Mane Stream and several other organizations including the Matheny Medical and Educational Center, Daytop School, and Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission.
