Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's New Jersey Chapter

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.

What We Do:

  • Research: The leading edge of cures for all cancers is blood cancer research. It’s changing the way we understand the genetic makeup and behavior of the disease. And has revealed discoveries that even in their initial stages are saving lives.
  • Advocacy: While we fund research and advances for cures, we need to be able to get those breakthroughs to patients as quickly as possible. This is why we must ensure that patients have access to the therapies they need to live longer, better, healthier lives. And LLS’s Policy and Advocacy Team is dedicated to removing the barriers to access and cures.
  • Patient Support: We are the leading source of free, highly specialized blood cancer information, education and support. Our Information Resource Center has responded to approximately 60,000 inquiries in fiscal 2015 and LLS provided $41.8 million to patients in FY15
