Family and Children's Services, based in Elizabeth, is a non-profit mental health and social services agency with a 128-year history of serving people, including those covered by Medicaid. Licensed by the NJ Department of Health, we provide mental health counseling, Intensive In Community (IIC) therapy, and case management services. 

FACS is an affiliate of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, and each of our licensed clinicians has completed training in at least one evidence-based trauma therapy, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) or Trauma Affect Regulation Guide to Education and Therapy (TARGET). 

FACS also offers parenting and assertive communication (anger management) group classes.

Services are provided in our two locations in Elizabeth, as well as through telehealth services, in compliance with regulations. We accept Medicaid and offer a sliding scale fee schedule for low-income uninsured clients.
