Summer Youth Work Experience Program
Employers and Youth in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties are invited to apply to take part in The GRWDB’s Sixth Annual Program

The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board

SUMMER YOUTH WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM DETAILS:

• DURATION: Any 200-hour period between May 19, 2025, and October 15, 2025.

• AGE: Candidates must be between the ages of 16 and 24 and can be in school or out of school.

• REQUIREMENTS: Youth accepted into the program will work 180 hours with a worksite employer and complete 20 more hours of learning on an online career readiness program platform and by taking part in in-person classes. Participants in the program will be paid a wage of $17 an hour for 200 hours, totaling $3,400.

EMPLOYERS PARTICIPANTS:

Private and public employers in Hunterdon and Somerset counties with part-time summer positions are invited to take part in the program. Positions responsibilities include office, clerical and various support work in government offices, children’s summer programs supervision, administration support, warehouse work, and more.
