Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, incorporated in 1982, is a non-profit Agency dedicated to service, quality and outreach for members of the community, especially those who are poor, devalued and in need of help. The Agency, which evolved from the Catholic Welfare Bureau of Trenton founded in 1913, provides programs to the four counties of the Diocese of Metuchen with selected services that reach throughout the State of New Jersey.

The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation provides New Jersey families facing the crisis of pediatric cancer a place to turn for comfort and support through professional in-home counseling and a uniquely tailored package of assistance – all free-of-charge.

The Flemington Area Food Pantry provides food and personal care items to people in Hunterdon County who are food insecure.

The mission of The Food Bank Network is to distribute food and to provide other basic human needs to those less fortunate in our community in a manner recognizing and advancing self-worth and human dignity.

The Food Pantry at Frenchtown Presbyterian provides help to anyone who is in need of food and other basic staples. Non-perishable foods such as canned soups, vegetables, and fruits; household goods such as laundry detergent and toilet tissue; as well as fresh butter, eggs and cheese are stocked.  The pantry receives donations from the Sunday School, other local churches, schools, scout groups, and other local organizations.

Currently due to COVID-19, not available at this time.  The Church of Saint Ann's help those in our community who are in need. They provide a Food Pantry located by the church.

The Hillsborough Community Resource Guide is an easy to use 8-page guide provides valuable information on childcare, housing, food, mental health and substance use, healthcare, finances, transportation, and more, connecting individuals and families with the local and regional resources they need to thrive.

NJHelps (www.njhelps.org) is a free service offered by the New Jersey Department of Human Services,Division of Welfare Services and is an easy way for you to prescreen for several welfare programs that are available to help you and your family.

The St. John's Outreach Ministry has been in existence and active for many years under different names. During that time, assistance has been provided to those in need in the areas of medical, utilities, food, clothing, transportation and many other areas. Funding for these services is provided to the society basically from parishioner contributions to the “poor boxes” as well as direct donations.

Lasagna Love is a nationwide grassroots movement that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors with neighbors through homemade meal delivery. We also seek to eliminate stigmas associated with asking for help—especially from moms— when it is needed most.

Living Water Church also reaches out a hand up to those who have everyday needs on the third Saturday of each month at a new time, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The New Beginnings Food Pantry is open to the public for all those in need of assistance with food and groceries. Residents of Mount Olive, Hackettstown, Chester, Long Valley and the surrounding tri-county area are welcome to visit LWC and receive a free shopping cart full of groceries for the family. Patrons are given an opportunity to shop and choose their groceries from a variety of food products, including frozen chicken, meats, foods, cereals, condiments, snack foods and personal care items. Enjoy fresh produce, bakery, meats and dairy items from our friends at Weiss markets in Mansfield.

LocalShare, a program of the Foodshed Alliance, connects people in need to locally grown, natural foods. By involving the volunteer efforts of everyone in our community, we glean foods from local fields, turning what farmers could not harvest into nutrition for our neighbors who need it most.

To respond to the needs of the community we serve and enrich the lives of the residents through well-balanced recreational offerings and lifelong learning. We strive to offer quality recreational and educational programs for personal and professional development.

The North Hunterdon Food Pantry was established in 1991 in an effort to address the problem of distributing food to needy persons in the North Hunterdon area.

NORWESCAP is a private, non-profit corporation originally established in 1965 under the Economic Opportunity Act to serve the low-income population of Hunterdon, Sussex and Warren Counties. 

The Food Bank is dedicated to ending hunger and reducing food waste by soliciting, storing and distributing donated food and other products to charitable organizations

As a non-profit entity, One World Community Cafe strives for the support from Donors and Volunteers who make everyday activities in the cafe a reality.

The mission of Project Self-Sufficiency of Sussex County is to support and empower low-income individuals and families to improve the quality of life for themselves and for their children through comprehensive family stability and personal and economic self-sufficiency services.

• ProJeCt improves the community and helps economically and educationally disadvantaged adults and children by assisting them with their emergency needs and developing their potential to achieve self-sufficiency through an integrated system of research-based social support and education programs.

The Food Pantry will provide emergency food packages to families in need. Donations are accepted all year long. Readington Area Starfish holds food distributions at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and the Fourth of July.

A Bible believing Reformed and Presbyterian Church Every Sunday we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and His salvation for sinners with a blend of the contemporary and traditional. The mission of the Simuel Whitfield Simmons Organization is to help meet the immediate and long term needs of at-risk youth and families in New Jersey. We strive to break the cycle of poverty by offering our families and youth the resources, mentorship and education they need to achieve self-sufficiency.

In response to the Lord's mandate: "When I was hungry you gave me to eat" (Matthew 25:35) our parish community is proud to be the largest food pantry in Sussex County, providing food for 450-500 people each and every fourth Sunday of the month between 1:30-3:30pm (anyone with a Newton Township address is welcome to come).

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. In uncomplicated terms, this means we strive to nurture followers of Christ who then reach out and teach others about the love of Jesus.

The Social Services Office is available to anyone in the Readington Township community. We provide a variety of services to residents including assessment, information about programs and referral to community resources, including Readington Starfish. In addition, we offer help with applying to programs such as PAAD, Lifeline, Home Energy Assistance, Senior Tax freeze and many more.  For information call the Social Services Office.

The Warren County Division of Temporary Assistance and Social Services is committed to assisting all customers by providing appropriate services in a professional, courteous, timely, and unbiased manner to achieve and maintain economic and social independence in the least restrictive environment.

The mission of the Washington Community Food Pantry is to assist and provide supplement food to the needy in the Washington, New Jersey area, who have been impacted by financial problems as a result of unemployment (lay-offs and/or downsizing), divorce, disability, health, domestic violence, homelessness, disaster, aging, and rising cost of living.
We gather, store and distribute goods to those who find themselves in time of special need and crisis. Our mission is based on a compassionate hand out and hand up as we respect the dignity of each person we serve.
