NJ Children's System of Care (CSOC)

NJ Children’s System of Care (CSOC) - serves children, adolescents and young adults with emotional and behavioral health care challenges and their families; children with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families; and alcohol/substance use solutions.

PerformCare, the Contracted System Administrator for the CSOC, is the single point of entry to access services and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Service(s) include:

  • Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) – provides face-to-face crisis services within one hour of notification. The goal is to de-escalate emotional or behavioral crisis and keep your youth at home. Mobile response is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can offer up to eight weeks of stabilization services.
  • Tri-County Care Management Organization (CMO) for Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren- provides intensive care coordination of services for children ages 5 to 21, who demonstrate significant behavioral, development or addiction challenges, are multi-system involved, and may be at risk for out of home placement.
  • Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) - provides services for children and youth up to age 18 with applying for determination of eligibility for developmental disability services, family support services and summer camp assistance. 
  • Substance Abuse Treatment- refers and authorizes serves for youth ages 13 up until their 18th birthday who meet clinical criteria for substance abuse treatment.
