DVRS Students in Transition from School to Work

This program is for students that are within two years of graduation or exiting from the school system with a defined disability, who will need further assistance after graduation in order to maintain employment in the adult community.

The general scope of DVRS services includes:

  • vocational counseling and guidance
  • job placement assistance
  • post-secondary education
  • vocational skills training
  • job coaching
  • supported employment
  • hearing loss services
  • psychological and cognitive services
  • prosthetic and orthotic devices
  • assistive technology tools
  • other services required by individuals to achieve their vocational goals
Eligibility A student may apply to DVRS within two years of the anticipated graduation. The rehabilitation counselor will meet with the student and evaluate eligibility.
