NAMI Warren County (National Alliance on Mental Health)

Through education, support, advocacy and public awareness programs, NAMI-Warren fosters understanding about mental illness, confronts the stigma often associated with mental disorders and advocates for policies that benefit those affected by mental illness as well as their families.

Programs: We currently facilitate three education and support programs, designed to provide suport and provide a high quality of life for those with mental illness and their family members and friends who care for them. We also actively promote and participate in training for law enforcement and other first responders who respond to and aid those in mental health crises.

    • Anxiety Disorders (Panic Attacks, OCD, PTSD, and others).
  • First Responder Training: NAMI-Warren actively promotes and participates in in-service tranings for law enforcement and other first responders.  These sessions are designed to improve the way these professionals respond to and provide initial aid to people experiencing mental health crises.
