Addiction has a profound impact on families. Often times, family members develop coping mechanisms long before a family member's addiction has been identified.Coping mechanisms and the roles family members take on often determine the trajectory of each individual family members lives. This topic will review what addiction is, family dynamics, relationships, communication patterns, the economic impact and also provide suggestions for how to strengthen families impacted by addiction.
