CAREGIVER WORKSHOP SERIES FOR SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE
Wednesday, March 27 -
Wednesday, May 29, 2019
- 7:30 PM
As a caregiver, finding out that your child(ren) has been sexually abused is often the worst experience you’ll have. It’s understandable that any parent/caregiver/foster parent whose child/foster child has been harmed will go through many of their own difficult feelings. One of the primary ways to help your child(ren) heal and recover is to balance support and resources for both yourself and your child(ren). It is vital that you feel that you have your own support.
SAFE in Hunterdon will be offering workshops that address specific concerns regarding parenting after learning that your child(ren) has been sexually abused to provide you with your own support in a group setting.
These workshops will be offered for 10 weeks starting March 27th 2019. It takes strength and courage to reach out for help; if you are interested in joining the workshop series please reach out to Candice at 908-788-7666. Transportation and childcare are subject to availability.
The workshop series can be facilitated in Spanish/English. Spanish speakers are welcomed!
